You say you want a resolution…

Well, you know, we all want to change ourselves.  Why is that anyway?

Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 2.1 introduces kriya yoga (yoga of action).  The three ingredients of kriya yoga are discipline, study, and devotion.   If you choose to make a resolution, these three concepts can assist  you.  To resolve is to decide firmly on a course of action.  Making a resolution is not enough.  Once we’ve decided what we want, something needs to happen – there needs to be action.  If our actions don’t match our resolutions, we are bound to fail.

Why not use the practice of yoga as a guide for your actions?  Through consistent practice, change can happen.  Live the life you wish to lead.  Remember, actions speak louder than resolutions.
