Maybe it’s because I’m running around like a crazy woman that I’m determined to find (and teach) balance during the height of the Alaska summer. Summer days here are filled with gardening, fishing, hiking, biking, visiting…you get the idea. Sometimes it feels like jumping into a fast current. All you can do is go with the flow, keep your head above water, and enjoy the ride.
For the remainder of July, we’ll be practicing standing balancing poses, and some arm balancing. We’ll continue to find ways to stretch and strengthen the hamstrings. If you’re too busy to come to class or for a long home practice try doing one or two poses a few times a week. Finding balance doesn’t have to take a lot of time. It’s something we can cultivate as we move from one moment to the next.
